Eclipsed

Feminism, rape culture, and the toll of war are all major themes in Danai Gurira's Eclipsed. The play follows four women as they survive the second Liberia civil war. This is not a victim play, this is a survivor play.

Working under Dr. Tawnya Pettiford-Wates, I sought to find a balance between the realism of the environments and the expressionism of the women's internal conflicts. I hope I struck it because this production own third place in SETC's 2020 undergraduate lighting design competition.
